Our Mission and Vision
Working together with individuals, organizations, and businesses in our community, we are able to help many students transform their lives through the power of a higher education and philanthropy.
Mission
The ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ Foundation, Inc. is a tax-exempt corporation whose purpose is to provide ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ with resources for the advancement of the College, its students, faculty, staff and other constituencies in fulfillment of the College’s mission.
Vision
The ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ Foundation works hand-in-hand with the College to help it meet its hallmarks and commitment to the community of access and affordability to higher education. Scholarships are a key way the Foundation accomplishes this and, as such, remains the Foundation’s number one fundraising priority. While the attached documentation details the exact cost of attending ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾, gifts at every level are appreciated and truly make a difference in the lives of Polk State students. Some students, indeed, need help paying for the majority of their tuition, while others simply need help with the cost of a book to be able to afford taking a class at Polk.
Governance
The ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders, as well as a strong management team to ensure that your donation is wisely managed and leveraged to maximize the benefit to the students.
IRS Designation
The ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization as designated by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations to the ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍøÕ¾ Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
